Enjoy exploring some of Hokkaido’s greatest nature!

Lake Toya and Noboribetsu!!

These are two places that are famous throughout the year for their great scenery, and they look amazing at any time of year. We will explore the volcanic area of Noboribetsu, beautiful lake views of Toya and also take the Mt. Usu ropeway to see the panoramic views from different angle.

Hokkaido has so many wild and interesting landscapes and each different area have different kinds of ecology.  In every season there is also a different view waiting for you! 

We will start the day by driving from Sapporo to Mt. Usu where you can take Mt.Usu ropeway to see the view of Lake Toya, panorama of the ocean and also see the volcanic area of Usu and Showa Shinzan.

On the way, we’ll have a quick break stop at Silo View Spot and take in the phenomenal views of Lake Toya on a clear day.

As we arrive Mt.Usu, first we’ll grab lunch together here, and then take the ropeway up the mountain and enjoy the short walk at the mountaintop to see the lake and ocean views. It’s one of our favourite local spots!

After lunch we’ll then move to Noboribetsu Hell Valley. Noboribetsu is one of the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido, the natural phenomenon responsible for Noboribetsu’s healing waters! It’s a beautiful view with many short hiking trails, and will leave you in complete awe! Depending on the season, we’ll have some time here to either enjoy the hiking trails and foot onsen around Onuma Pond area (only available Spring, Summer & Autumn), or use a local hot spring (optional all year round). Finally, we’ll head back to Sapporo in time for the evening.
