Indigo Dyeing Experience

We work with a variety of cloth dyeing providers in different regions of Hokkaido – some which offer the traditional dyeing in the rich indigo colouring and design – and in Sapporo City, we even work with a provider who bring a modern take to the traditional activity and bring a selection of colours and designs. Take part in an introduction to the dyeing procedure, and learn about making different patterns and shapes, and then try your hand at your own item. Typically, the minimum price for the workshop includes a bandana or hankerchief size, but you can also choose from larger items such as bags or tshirts at a number of workshops.
