Enjoy three stunning views spots for the fall leaves within an hour of Sapporo city – the scenic road from Otaru to Jozankei, Jozankei centre and Futami Bridge, and Takino Suzuran Park. These breathtaking views can be enjoyed from the bus, and on the short walking trails that we will enjoy throughout the day – the perfect balance of nature and sightseeing. Autumn is one of Hokkaido’s hidden gems and we love getting out to enjoy the perfect colours of the season.

We will start off our day by driving out towards Otaru, and have a quick stop for coffee or tea in a locally run cafe. Our main aim is to then drive the hour long scenic route from Otaru to Jozankei, where we can take in the most breathtaking scenery and stop for picture spots along the route.
Once we arrive in Jozankei, we will enjoy a local lunch and then take time outside the bus to enjoy the fall leaves in the centre of the town, taking time to explore the foot onsen at Gensen Park, the short walk from Futami Park and Susupension Bridge for the classic views over Jozankei.
Finally, we’ll head back towards Sapporo via Takino Suzuran Park, where we can take in the panoranmic views of the fall leaves over the park area.
