Sapporo area cherry blossom tour. Go to the beautiful scenic area in Moerenuma Park. Enjoy some lunch together on the way. Then, head to another beautiful area in Hiraoka park in the outskirts of Sapporo to see the cherry blossoms and plum bloom, try the local products from the Ume Matsuri (plum festival) and enjoy the wonderful Sakura in some of Sapporo’s best local spots!

A trip to Japan isn’t complete without a flower festival experience! During this tour we will take you to two parks near the Sapporo area to watch the cherry blossom! First, we will head to the Moerenuma Park, not far from Sapporo. Stroll through the big picturesque park on the outskirts of Sapporo. Then, head to the Cherry Blossom Forest, check out the cool infrastructures and designs on the way too. Take stunning pictures of the whole park covered in cherry blossom at the top of the hill, you can also rent a bicycle and have a nice relaxing ride through Moerenuma!
Afterwards, we will go to Hiraoka Park, which offers an extraordinary unique experience, with the beautiful cherry blossom and plum bloom with more than 1,200 plum trees. Also, join us during the Plum Festival where you can try a unique variety of seasonal treats and plum flavored dishes! Try the ume-flavored soft served ice cream!
At the park glancing over the sakura flowers and plum blooms with some friends, family or in our friendly group! Hiraoka Park is an often overlooked place by many tourists since the most accessible way is through car. However, it remains as one of the most famed festivals on all Hokkaido by the locals. It is a most go if you are coming to Hokkaido just 30 minutes away from the Sapporo Station!
The cherry blossom season dates varies through each region in Japan, Hokkaido in general blooming later than the rest of Japan due to the long winter. The tour runs from April 27th through May 10th during the time that the hanami blossoms in Hokkaido. So, in case you missed the cherry blossom blooms in April, you can still reach the beautiful hanami in Hokkaido, as well as the famous Plum Festival!
Cycle through Moerenuma’s huge park, grab some snacks in the festival and join our picnic while we see the beautiful hanami together! Lunch will be included after leaving Moerenuma!
9:30 Sapporo Pick Up
10:00 am: Arrive at Moerenuma Park and visit the cherry blossom forest as well as some sculpture spots – those wishing to rent a bicycle can do so freely in this time too.
12:30 – 1:30: Lunch time at a local restaurant
2:00 pm: Arrive at Hiraoka Park (dessert and drink picnic) and time to enjoy the festival.
4:30 pm: Leave Hiraoka
5:00 pm: Sapporo Drop Off
