Japanese Sake Tasting (Night Tour)

In every culture, alcohol can play an important cultural role, and Japanese sake is no different. 

Have you ever tasted Japanese sake? Or do you feel interested about the history or sake and the process of making and developing it? It’s such an interesting cultural insight. 

On this tour, you get to visit a local sake store – one of the oldest in the city. You can ask questions and hear fascinating explanations about sake and nihon-shu and the staff of this store will give you a short seminar filled with correct knowledge and history. You’ll also get to try a selection of 3 different sake types at their custom made bar, and have the chance to try different flavours. We love the passion that this team have when it comes to introducing sake and we know you will too. 

Enjoy a wonderful night filled with good knowledge and delicious sake. After we will also visit a local restaurant for dinner, take in some city night views… And keep drinking sake if you’d like to!

Start off your evening with a Japanese Sake TOUR.

Departing from Sapporo station at 5pm, first we will drive directly to the local sake store – one of the oldest sake venues in the city. The Sake shop has passionate and trained staff who LOVE sake, and their multi-lingual team can also help to answer any questions you have about sake. They would love to introduce you to a deeper knowledge of sake and help you to understand the process of making and developing sake and nihon-shu. You’ll also get the chance to try 3 different types of sake at their custom bar. 

 Enjoy the small group environment, ask questions, and taste the delicious sake. In the end we will have free time to look around the shop, buy any sake or nihon-shu you’d like, or take home souvenirs for your friends.

After this, we will visit a  local Japanese restaurant and eat a light dinner together (and you can keep drinking sake if you enjoyed it!).

Before we finish this tour, our group will explore the night views of Sapporo, taking private transportation to Asahiyama Memorial Park, and the night city sights (including seasonal illuminations or festival sights according to availability) with a local guide and driver.
